The Gospel in the OT (Part 2): The life of faith, hope and love in the OT

Sunday, 3 January 2021 // God's Story: Old Testament

Description

FAITH. HOPE. LOVE

These are three words the Apostle Paul used to characterise the Christian life in his letters that make up the majority of the books in the New Testament canon.

The question is, how did Paul arrive at using the triad of 'Faith, Hope and Love' to express the essential character of the people of God in the New Testament? Was it something Paul came up with or did he come to understand this from his study of the Old Testament?
