Leviticus: Be holy, for I am holy (Part 1)

Sunday, 29 March 2020 // God's Story: Old Testament

Description

God was perfectly holy, but Israel was sinful. Considering God's wrath burns hot against all sin, it was not easy at all for Israel to dwell with God. Despite that, Exodus closed with the glory of God filling the tabernacle, but Israel could only approach God's holy presence on God's terms.

The book of Leviticus explores these terms – including rituals, legislations, and rules for Israel to observe, so that God's people can be made holy and be preserved from His holy wrath.

So how can a HOLY God make His dwelling with a SINFUL people? Only through the mercies of a gracious God.
