The Gospel in Hebrews (Part 1)

Sunday, 28 February 2021 // God's Story: New Testament

Description

  • Your student report card shows the number of subjects you've failed or scored poorly in.

  • Your university rejection letter is proof that you failed to get into the university of your dreams.

  • You have blueticked messages on WhatsApp from the man/woman you're after. You weren't able to get him/her.

These are all reminders of our failures.

This was the same for the old covenant people. However, what they had was a constant reminder of their sins.

God was dwelling with them, but it was impossible for them to approach Him in the most Holy place. Their sacrifices and the high priests were inadequate.

How can God's people ever be able to approach God with confidence?
